This is the review from a customer. I was very hesitant about switching my 6-year-old working Cocker Spaniel, Teddy, onto a new food because he suffers from colitis. Over the years we've tried several different diets and had finally settled on a sensitive gastrointestinal kibble, supplemented with a small amount of wet food. Teddy had been doing reasonably well on this for a few years, but we wanted to introduce some variety into his diet. Our vet also suggested that his recurrent need for his anal glands to be expressed every 2-3 months could potentially be linked to needing more bulk in his diet. When Mark from VIP Dogs gave us a free sample pack of cold-pressed food, we decided to do some research into the potential benefits compared with Teddy's existing diet. After reading up on it, we felt it was worth giving it a try. I'm delighted to say that one month in, Teddy has been doing brilliantly. We transitioned him slowly and cautiously from his kibble over the course of about a week, and he has had no problems at all. His stools have been consistently firm, actually firmer than they've ever been before, without any signs of constipation. Most importantly, we've had none of the upset stomach, diarrhoea, or blood in his stool that he's experienced in the past when we've tried introducing new foods. Another big advantage is the flexibility the cold-pressed food offers. Unlike traditional kibble, it appears you can switch between flavours within the cold-pressed range without needing a lengthy transition period, which is a huge bonus if you want to give your dog a bit more variety. Based on our experience so far, I would highly recommend cold-pressed dog food, particularly for owners of dogs with sensitive digestive systems. Teddy is thriving on it, and we're very pleased we decided to make the switch. Cheers Jamie
